Skeleton Crew‘s Jon Watts and Chris Ford tease Neel’s mysterious Star Wars species. Lucy Lawless has little hope of Ruby’s return in the Evil Dead universe. Plus, what’s coming on Dune: Prophecy. Spoilers now!
Star Trek 4
During his recent appearance on Katee Sackhoff’s The Sackhoff Show, Simon Pegg still has hopes to come back to a Star Trek 4 at some point.
I’d love to do more. Obviously, it’s been forever tainted because we lost Anton, and that was a really hard thing for everyone involved, and for the real world, let alone anything else. If we do come back, if there is another opportunity to come back, I’d love to. Because as we were saying earlier on, it’s a group of guys that I dearly, dearly love and don’t get to see very often […] It would be good to get back together with them.

The Batman Part II
Jeffrey Wright also revealed he still hasn’t heard anything about The Batman Part II in a recent interview with Inverse.
I’m excited about getting back there, but you probably know as much as I know. I haven’t read anything. I haven’t talked to Matt [Reeves] for a while. He’s been off doing his thing, I’ve been off doing mine. But I look forward to getting back there.
The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim
Brian Cox, Phillipa Boyens, Kenji Kamiyama, Gaia Wise and more discuss The War of the Rohirrim in a new featurette.
Yellowjackets
According to TV Line, the promised additional episode of Yellowjackets to tide us over until season three is no longer happening.
Peacemaker
Filming is beginning to wind down on the second season of Peacemaker, according to James Gunn on Threads.
Ash vs The Evil Dead: The Animated Series
During a recent interview with Screen Rant, Lucy Lawless suggested she isn’t likely to reprise her role as the ill-fated Ruby if the Ash vs The Evil Dead animated sequel ever comes to fruition.
Oh, my God, Ruby. It’s like, “Honestly, who is Ruby?” became a joke on set, because Bruce [Campbell] and I would go, “What the hell am I doing here?” [Laughs] I’m like, “Did you make this role just to keep me in the country? What the hell is Ruby?” But I love hanging out with Bruce and Dana [DeLorenzo] and Ray [Santiago]. Bruce is family.
So, what I can tell you is that there will be a couple more Evil Dead movies. There was a major sticking point in the legal paperwork that had to be worked through, but looks like that’s ironing itself out, and I think we can expect a couple more movies in the next couple of years.
Star Wars: Skeleton Crew
Jon Watts once again confirmed Neel is not an Ortolan in a new interview with TV Line, stating, “It’s a big galaxy. There’s a lot of blue, trunked, elephant creatures out there.”
Watts’ comment prompted co-showrunner Chris Ford to add, “There’s a lot of human-looking people that have no trunks that come in different colors and shapes, and we don’t blink our eye at that. So, it’s very human-centric to have a problem with this, I have to say. Is Neel more closely related to Hooter from Captain EO? I think that’s the real question.
