Cottage cheese dip is a great tasting savory snack that just happens to be high protein and good for you, too! Scoop it up with cracker, crudités, bread, or chicken bites, but do make it!

Cottage Cheese Dip
Cottage cheese is just having a great big moment of fame lately, isn’t it? And I am so very much here for it. I love cottage cheese. I eat it pretty much every day, so whenever I learn of a new way to enjoy it, I’m likely to try that immediately.
When my friend Rebecca was visiting a few months back, she shared this cottage cheese dip with me and I was hooked. It became an instant favorite not just with me, but with my family, too.
We’ve been making ours mostly with these ranch seasonings or with a packet of onion dip, but you can make this with just about any seasoning or spice mix you like. It’s awesome to have a high-protein snack food that’s so easy to put together and so tasty, too! Not only is it delicious, but it’s also much more budget friendly than protein bars and protein shakes.

Whipped Cottage Cheese
You can use whichever cottage cheese is your preference: small curd, large curd, lowfat, or full fat. Small curd has a tangier flavor and less moisture while large curd usually has a milder, sweeter taste and more moisture. That will affect the thickness and tanginess of your dip, so choose accordingly.
If you’re a cottage cheese vegetable dip fan, you may want to give our Cottage Cheese Eggs and Cottage Cheese Pancakes a whirl. And don’t forget the sweets! Believe it or not, those fabulous little curds are great in Cottage Cheese Ice Cream, too.

Cottage Cheese Ranch Dip
You can use just about any packet of dip mix you like with your whipped cottage cheese, but my preference is to use either ranch dip/dressing mix or onion dip/soup mix.
The onion soup mix yields a cottage cheese onion dip that is similar to French onion dip, while the ranch gives you a respectable ranch dip that’s perfect for vegetables, chips, or pizza dippping.

Place the cottage cheese in a food processor OR use an immersion blender directly in the container of cottage cheese. Blend on high speed for about 30-90 seconds until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Pause and scrape the sides of the container as needed.
-
Add the seasonings of your choice and blend again until well combined. Add a splash of milk, if desired, for a thinner dip. Use immediately or refrigerate until needed.
